The vehicle is currently languishing at the 'new' mechanic's workshop. I'm less than happy with all the previous work to say the least. And now it's a case of having one mechanic try to fix another mechanic's poor work.
This is the second time that it's been in for repairs / rectification. First job was to replace the scored cams and rockers that had been put back in after the head work. Then to get it running right again. Latest reports are inconclusive and indicate a fuel head / injector problem.
This, despite the fact that these were looked at previously.
There was also a brake issue that's apparently been resolved but the rough idle that followed the valve job has been taking a bloody long time to resolve. My instructions were to keep the car until it's right and I am into my third week in the loan car. At least I have transport. But I am the butt of my girlfriend's jokes with the current unit.
Disgruntled, disappointed and distressed at the time and money this has absorbed. Man, you need the patience of ten saints when it gets this far down the track. Hopefully,
